Sharing and exporting
Work with other people, publish a page, and export your notes.
Invite people into a workspace when you want to work together. Publish a page when someone only needs to read it, or export a copy to use outside Haunter.
Collaborate in a workspace
Select the workspace name at the top of the sidebar, then choose Members. Owners and admins can invite people:
- Enter the person's email address under Invite by email.
- Choose Viewer for read-only access, Member for editing access, or Admin for editing and member management.
- Choose Invite.
An invitation gives access to the workspace. If someone only needs to read one page, use a public page link instead. People with editing access can work in the same page or canvas at the same time, with each other's cursors visible while connected.
Publish a read-only page
- Open the page you want to share.
- Wait for your edits to save, then open the page header's options menu and choose Share.
- Choose Publish, then copy the public link.
- Send that link to the people who should be able to read the page.
Anyone with the public link can view the saved page without a Haunter account, including supported drawings inside it. They cannot edit the page. Later saved edits appear at the same link, and sharing one page does not grant access to the rest of the workspace.
A drawing is available through the public link only while its canvas block remains on the page. Removing its last block and saving stops new public reads of that drawing. Restoring the block makes the drawing available again while the link is active.
To stop sharing, return to Share, choose Revoke link, and confirm. You can publish a new link later.
Export a page
Wait for your edits to save, then open the page header's options menu and choose Export Markdown or Export HTML.
- Markdown is useful for moving text into another editor. Some rich formatting and Haunter-specific content cannot be represented exactly.
- HTML creates a standalone page in your current Haunter theme for reading in a browser.
Exports are copies for reading or moving text elsewhere, not full workspace backups. A Markdown export does not include an editable canvas drawing. Keep the original in Haunter if you want to continue editing the drawing.
